It seems to me that the very word "puddles" is reminiscent with childhood memories. Of little boys discovering their love for getting dirty, of embarking on an adventure all their own. I have two boys now and I think I am beginning to realize and embrace that unique aspect of them. They have such an innate desire to explore, to discover, to conquer. They are teaching me to squelch the desire to think ahead to the time and energy involved in cleaning up these "adventures" but rather, to focus on the joy and fun of being "in the puddle" right now.

I bet Jacob had fun in the puddles.
I always loved playing in puddles as a kid, and I still enjoy it today.
First off...that is the perfect scapbook layout! Wow.
Jacob is getting so big! We all ohhd and ahhhd over your post. When Lauren was that age, she LOVED stomping around in big puddles like that. On a hot summer day, I'd let her play in the puddles in the ally behind our house and she would just get all dirty. She enjoyed that...and the bubble bath that followed!
